What is the song "Poker Face" about? She also states that she wrote it affectionately as in, "a record my boyfriends would like too."
Interestingly, during the Fame Ball Tour performance in California she also stated that the song is about bisexuality, including her own affairs with other women. She stated that the concept is that a woman can make love to a man but fantasize about sex with another woman, hence the "poker face" analogy. Gaga has also said that the song has a subtle theme of her generation's confusion about love and love making.
The Poker Face lyrics should surprise no one who has ever heard any of Gaga's other songs, one of which is clever enough to incorporate her love of Alfred Hitchcock movies into rhyming syllables. This is one of Gaga's racier songs, though you might never know it by reading the lyrics.
The verse "bluffin' with my muffin," for example, is a reference to the female anatomy, Gaga's in particular.
